  4. My Pastoral Coordinator sends me these TEAMRCIA blurbs and many are good ideas. The feeling I get is that you have a large team to pull from. I am the RCIA Catechist, Coordinator, and I have families, and adults and I am an advocate for the marriage problems that come through. I have one lady who has been with the RCIA team longer than myself and she is moving this year. I am not a promoter for hiring but I will work hours with the people that want to learn. Discernment is the change that you see in these people as they begin to have a relationship with Jesus. Until then you can see by their body movement and the things that they may say that they are not there. Dealing with inquirers and catechumen’s is part of the RCIA process. In a very small parish you deal with what you have to work with.

This was a great article and helped me to recognize where we slipped this past year. There were several of those “middle people” in our group this year who probably were not ready. Although we tried to put on the brakes, several were insistant that they were ready and we allowed them to proceed. Your five principles will be a very helpful resource for us to use as we proceed with new candidates and catechumens. Thanks so much for your ministry!

  7. Hi Gladys. I’m glad it was helpful. I’ve slipped up in all these ways, and I still do sometimes. We just have to try to be a little be better each day. You’re doing a great job. Thanks for your dedication.
